Forthcoming Events in Basingbourne Park
*FULLY BOOKED* Oddfellows Bat Walk and Presentation – Wednesday 3rd September at 7pm
We will be welcoming guests from the Oddfellows Society to join our Bat Walk. We’ll provide a short talk before hand, about bats in general, use of bat detectors, and about the bats and other wildlife in our Park (with accompanying refreshments provided by Oddfellows). Family Fun Run – Saturday 13th September at 2pm
Join us for our family fun run! Open to families and children under 16, complete 1km, 2km or 3km circuits.
Please let us know if you plan to attend. It’s free to enter, but voluntary donations are welcome!
We are in also need of some event volunteers, so please let us know if you can help with registrations, marshalling or refreshments.
Bat Walk – Wednesday 1st October at 6.45pm
Meet at the pavilion at 6.45pm, wearing sturdy shoes and bring a torch. You will be shown how to use the bat detectors and what type of bats you are likely to find.
Then there will be a walk around the park listening for bats and owls.
Please let us know if you plan to attend – in order to ensure that we have sufficient bat detectors available.
