Forthcoming Events in Basingbourne Park
Bat Walk – Wednesday 2nd July – 9.30pm
Meet at the pavilion at 9.30pm, wearing sturdy shoes and bring a torch. You will be shown how to use the bat detectors and what type of bats you are likely to find.
Then there will be a walk around the park listening for bats and owls.
Please let us know if you plan to attend – in order to ensure that we have sufficient bat detectors available.
Summer Nature Walk – Saturday 16th August – 10am
Join us for a summer nature walk around the woods and heathlands with a local expert. Learn about our plants, trees and minibeasts!
Oddfellows Bat Walk and Presentation – 3rd September 7:00pm
This month we will be welcoming guests from the Oddfellows Society to join our Bat Walk. We’ll provide a short talk before hand, about bats in general, use of bat detectors, and about the bats and other wildlife in our Park (with accompanying refreshments provided by Oddfellows).
